Overhead Transport System TEXTRA    Overhead transport system with maximum flexibility Overhead conveyor system providing reliable transport for all your material needs. The TEXTRA transport system is flexible, lightweight and above all lubrication free. The system consists mainly of closed aluminum profile rails and independent material transport trolleys driven by small friction drive trolley motors. The drive motors provide bi-directional travel with variable speed control and a stopping accuracy of +/- 2mm. TEXTRAs modular design of all system components provides maximum flexibility. This allows your system to be tailored to best meet your needs from a very simple continuous closed loop conveying system to a very sophisticated multi-train system that can incorporate any number of rail switching modules and automatic couple/decouple stations much like a railroad switching yard. TEXTRA can transport most any type of material and with our team of engineers we can design a specialized carrier to best fit your product handling requirements. And above all, the modular design provides a low-cost manufacturing base and allows Neuenhauser to provide a very cost efficient solution with short return on investment (ROI) justifications. System Components

Drives The trolley is driven by bidirectional three phase motors with planetary gearing. A friction wheel with wear-resistant covering directly drives the trolley. Depending on system needs both standard or servo motors are available.

Switches By means of manual or automatic electromagnetic switches, trolleys can be routed in different directions to form as complex a layout as required

Lightweight aluminum track profiles Closed profile provides high strength allowing large hanging span widths. Small profile slots with dual separators guarantees a minimum of contamination.

Automatic Coupling and Uncoupling Coupling stations allow automatic coupling or uncoupling of individual trolleys. This provides maximum flexibility in the system design and delivery options which can be built into the over-all layout.

Quick  Reliable  Adaptable The TEXTRA system can easily and quickly be installed even by non-specialists. The track layout can be simply adapted to fit most any on-site space requirements. The light weight aluminum construction allows for installations with minimal ceiling loading and the hanging support system can be adapted to most any type of roof and building construction. If ceiling space is limited, we can provide an alternate solution of two parallel small rail profiles installed in parallel allowing a clearance distance of only 150 mm.

Cost competitive and technically advanced TEXTRAs modular design allows the addition of custom components so the transport system can be perfectly adapted to your requirements. An example of an application in the textile industry: In a spinning mill, lifters and handling devices are integrated into the TEXTRA transport system. Depending on production the yarn packages (cross-wound packages) are transported to a central palletizer or carton packing unit in the shipping department. A central PC control system with a graphical interface monitors (HMI) the total material flow of product within the system. The control system allows operators to both monitor and control the actual flow of material to best meet the actual plant requirements at any time.
